Fr. Kerry Beaulieu
Father Kerry Beaulieu was born and raised in San Fernando, California, close by the old Franciscan Mission San Fernando Rey de Espana. His mother, Bernadette, was born in England of an Irish father and English mother. His father, Richard, was born in Vermont of French Canadian parents who came to California in 1929. Fr. Kerry grew up in St. Ferdinand’s parish the oldest of five sons.
After attending Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills he entered St. John’s Seminary College in Camarillo, California and continued on to St. John’s Seminary for graduate studies in theology earning a Masters Degree in Religion. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Spirituality from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
On May 25, 1974 he was ordained a priest by Cardinal Timothy Manning in old St. Vibiana’s Cathedral in Los Angeles for the service of the Church of Los Angeles which then included Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. His first assignment as a priest was St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, California. While he was there the new Diocese of Orange was established in 1976. Since then Fr. Kerry has served as associate pastor at St. Joachim’s Church in Costa Mesa, a member of the faculty of St. John’s Seminary College, pastor of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Huntington Beach and Vicar for Priests for the Diocese of Orange.
In 2004 he was appointed pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach, California.

Fr. Eugene Lee
Father Eugene Lee was conceived in South Korea and born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in Long Beach, California. His father is a physician practicing in Long Beach. His mother had the toughest job of managing the home. Fr. Eugene has a younger sister, who has two little children, and a younger brother who has one child.
Fr. Eugene's spiritual home was the Korean Martyrs Catholic Center in Westminster. It’s just like a regular parish only it’s all Koreans. The youth ministry at this place was foundational to his future as a priest.
Fr. Eugene attended a Baptist school for the first 8 years of his education. Then, he went to St. John Bosco High School, an all boys school, for two years before transferring to Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach. In 1998, Fr. Eugene graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a degree in English.
He attended Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon, and six years later, he was ordained to the priesthood on June 12, 2004, for the Diocese of Orange.
For his first assignment, Bishop Tod Brown assigned Fr. Eugene to work part time here at Our Lady Queen of Angels and part time with the Korean community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Irvine.

Fr. Joseph Dung Nguyen
Father Joseph Dung Nguyen was born in South Vietnam where he lived with his parents and two sisters until he was 24 years old. He escaped from Vietnam by boat and landed in Singapore before traveling to the Philippines. In 1990, he came to Orange County, California as a refugee. Fr. Joseph has been living here alone while his family still remains in Vietnam.
In 1996, Fr. Joseph joined The Franciscan Community (OFM Conventual) in San Pablo, California. Then, in 2001, he joined the Diocese of Orange. Fr. Joseph studied and graduated from St. John’s Seminary College on May 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He continued his education with a five-year theology program at St. John’s Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in May 2008. On June 7, 2008, Fr. Joseph was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Orange. His first assignment of priestly ministry was at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach.

Msgr. Wilbur Davis
Father Wil (Msgr. Wilbur Davis), a native of Los Angeles, was ordained to the priesthood in 1964. His first assignment was for six years at St. Columban Parish in Garden Grove, after which he served in Whittier and then in a degree program in theology at the University of Louvain in Belgium. Returning home he was assigned to St. Joachim Parish in Costa Mesa, where Fr. Kerry Beaulieu was also assigned.
When the Diocese of Orange was created Bishop Johnson appointed him the first director of the diocesan program for the continuing education of clergy. His first assignment as pastor was to St. Joseph Parish in Santa Ana where he served for eight years. After that he was able to fulfill a long-time dream of serving in the missions when Bishop McFarland loaned him to the Maryknoll Fathers with whom he was a pastor in the rural south of Chile for five years. Once again back home he was named pastor of St. Boniface Parish in Anaheim.
His most recent appointment was eight years as Director of Vocations and Seminarians for the Diocese of Orange. In 2008 he retired from fulltime ministry and moved into residence at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish where he finds himself very much at home. He also does speaking engagements for Catholic Relief Services.
Dea. Charlie Boyer
Deacon Charlie Boyer was born in upstate New York, where he grew up and attended Ithaca College. During his college years he worked as a radio announcer and majored in communications. It was also during college he met his wife Linda. They have been married for thirty-six years and have three grown sons, two of which are still in college.
After several years living in Houston, the Boyers moved to Southern California, where they have lived for nearly twenty years.
Deacon Charlie entered the deacon formation process in 1995 and was ordained by Bishop Tod Brown for the Diocese of Orange in 1999. He has been assigned to Our Lady Queen of Angels ever since. His work at the parish includes helping parishioners with annulments, baptism preparation, marriage preparation, baptisms, weddings and funerals as well as regular preaching assignments on Sundays. Outside of the parish, Charlie occasionally teaches classes for men in the deacon formation process. He also holds down a full time job running a division of a national real estate firm. He is currently earning a masters degree in Pastoral Theology from Loyola Marymount University.

Dea. Jim Arnold
Deacon Jim Arnold was born in Beaumont Texas during WW II, the first of seven children belonging to Ernie and Alvalee Arnold. His father, a native of Los Angeles, CA and a strong Catholic met and married his bride, a native Texan, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and strong Southern Baptist, while he was working in Texas for a ship builder as a cost accountant during the war. After the war, they moved to South Pasadena, California when Jim was 2 years old. His parents had 6 more children and Jim’s mother subsequently converted to Catholicism.
His parents lived in South Pasadena for 51 years and attended Holy Family Church. Jim attended grammar school at Holy Family and High School at Don Bosco Tech in Rosemead. Jim was very involved in scouting when he was growing up and is an Eagle Scout. He was also very active in sports playing baseball and football in high school.
Jim graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. While in college, Jim worked his way through college, played 4 years of football, and was in a fraternity.
After college Jim was drafted into the Army during the Viet Nam war and was stationed at Fort Myre VA. He was assigned to the US Army Honor Guard and participated in White House Arrivals of foreign heads of state, Medal of Honor ceremonies, President Nixon’s Inauguration, and President Eisenhower’s state funeral.
Jim’s first job after his military duty was with a large insurance company where he met his wife Sally. After 6 years Jim joined an insurance agency where he became a Charted Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and started his own insurance practice. He now is a partner with one of the largest Employee Benefit Consulting/Brokerage firms in California.
Sally and Jim were married in 1972 and have been a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels for as long as they have been married. They have four children Tiffany, Tony, Dennis and Hilary and one grandson, Matthew. All of their children attend OLQA grammar school and Mater Dei High School. Their oldest son Tony graduated from Chapman University with a major in music education. Tony sings in the OLQA adult choir and is also a cantor.
